Professional Experience
Mr. Bradlau is a member of George F. Bradlau & Associates, PLLC, a law firm based in White Plains, NY where he leads a team of professionals in corporate compliance matters, corporate integrity monitoring, internal corporate investigations, due diligence and background inquiries and complex environmental matters. The firm conducts special counsel investigations for private sector clients and government agencies.

Mr. Bradlau is also the founder and principal of The Bradlau Group, LLP, a corporate compliance, consulting, and integrity monitoring firm where he has led numerous corporate integrity monitoring engagements for local, state, and federal regulatory and law enforcement agencies and federal courts. Currently, among other engagements, the firm provides integrity monitoring services to the Office of Inspector General, Port Authority of NY & NJ involving the Transportation Hub construction project at the World Trade Center site in New York City. Mr. Bradlau was appointed federal examiner of Local One of the International Union of Elevator Constructors by the U.S Attorney E.D.N.Y and engaged as chief investigator by the federal bankruptcy examiner for American Business Financial Services, a major subprime mortgage lender. He also led an internal investigation of a publically traded defense contractor which resulted in the federal criminal conviction of a company manager and restructuring of corporate operations. In the environmental sector, Mr. Bradlau has directed several large scale Potentially Responsible Party investigations in CERCLA related matters. Prior to founding The Bradlau Group and, later, George F. Bradlau & Associates, Mr. Bradlau was engaged for several years in the private sector as Senior Attorney with a law firm specializing in corporate compliance and internal corporate investigations, particularly in the public utility industry including nuclear power plants. Mr. Bradlau was also Vice President & General Counsel to a New York City based private investigations firm where he headed the corporate integrity monitoring, internal corporate investigation and white collar crime practice.

For almost twenty years, Mr. Bradlau was an organized crime and official corruption prosecutor and investigative attorney for the State of New York. Mr. Bradlau was a Special Assistant Deputy Attorney General for the Office of New York State Special Prosecutor in New York City where he conducted investigations and prosecutions involving official corruption in the New York City criminal justice system including police, prosecutors, judges and other public figures. Later, he became Assistant Attorney General for the New York State Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF) where he lead investigations and prosecution of organized crime activity in the solid waste, hazardous waste, and construction industries for fifteen years. He prosecuted indictments of individuals and corporations before juries charging murder, criminal anti-trust felonies, coercion, extortion, bribery, bribe receiving, larceny, perjury, contempt, conspiracy, and other crimes. Among other high profile cases, he directed and managed OCTF’s investigation and prosecution of the Long Island, New York Carting industry, which produced twelve indictments of forty-five corporate and individual defendants including the leadership of the Lucchese organized crime family, sixteen carting companies and officers, and several public officials. He also served as the Director of the New York City Construction Industry Strike Force, a multiagency team of prosecutors, investigators, and auditors focusing on criminal activity related to the NYC construction industry.

Mr. Bradlau also spent a period of time as an investigative attorney for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) where he participated in the creation and managed the tactical operations of the first criminal enforcement unit to focus exclusively on criminal conduct in the New York State hazardous waste industry. The success of this unit led directly to the creation of the Bureau of Environmental Crime Investigations and the Division of Enforcement within the DEC.

Mr. Bradlau has lectured extensively to professional audiences on the investigation and prosecution of environmental crime, organized crime in legitimate business, search and seizure and electronic surveillance, RICO and OCCA. In the public works contracting industry, he is recognized as a expert on prevailing wage laws, project labor agreements, and minority and women’s business enterprise compliance.

Mr. Bradlau is a member of the New York State Bar Association where he is co-chairperson of the Enforcement and Compliance Committee of the Environmental Law Section and a member of the Criminal Justice Section. He is also a member of the Federal Bar Council (NYC).
